Fine 999 Silver & Gidgee Timber
Inspired by a download to work with the Seed of Life, after dreaming of Egyptians carving metal this way, for more see the videos below. The seed of life is hammered out via the ancient repousse technique in fine Lunar Silver on a Moonday. The original design was then set into Gidgee Acacia Cambagei, that was gifted to me by a dear sweet indigenous man from which his mob would craft clapsticks from in the Bundjalung where I grew up.
This piece was very dear to me and a very lovely lady named the design Gidgee in honour of the timber it was set into. I have enough Gidgee remaining to handcraft only a few more of this style piece.
